LONDON — Pope Francis’ highly anticipated document on family issues was released Friday, containing instructions for priests dealing with the realities of modern family life.
In the 236-page document, entitled “Amoris Laetitia” (“The Joy of Love”), Francis outlines his vision of a more welcoming church while holding up traditional Catholic values and doctrines.
Some liberal Catholics may feel disappointed at the lack of innovation in the long-awaited document.
