Grzegorz Krychowiak expects to have news soon about whether his proposed move from Sevilla to Paris Saint-Germain will be completed.
Krychowiak, 26, was part of the Poland side that lost 5-3 on penalties to Portugal following a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2016 quarterfinal in Marseille on Thursday.
After that game, the tough-tackling central midfielder said Poland’s exit could accelerate a transfer to PSG, which would see him swiftly reunited with ex-Sevilla boss Unai Emery.
“It’s true that negotiations are ongoing,” RMC quoted Krychowiak as saying.
“There’s no agreement with PSG for the moment but now that the Euros are over [for Poland], we’ll know more about my future very quickly.”
Earlier on Thursday, Sevilla president Jose Castro admitted that the Spanish club had received a “big offer” from PSG for Krychowiak.
RMC suggested that the French champions had bid €25 million for the player but that Sevilla were holding out for a fee that would be closer to his release clause of €30m.
Krychowiak could be joined in Paris by Hatem Ben Arfa, who according to L’Equipe completed a medical on Thursday after his contract with Nice expired.
Emery was appointed the new manager of PSG earlier this week after Laurent Blanc’s departure and Krychowiak has been strongly linked with following the Spaniard to the French capital.
Krychowiak has already spent much of his career in France, having joined Bordeaux as a teenager. He went on to play for Nantes and Reims before joining Sevilla in July 2014.
He has since won the Europa League twice in two seasons with the Spanish club while working under Emery.
