Marketing Manager – #JHedzWorlD



The Role


 


This role will be reporting directly to the Marketing Manager – Asia Pacific and is responsible to maximise all marketing opportunities across Indonesia to drive the implementation of new plan initiatives, manage brand portfolio and ensure compliance to brand and marketing activities. The marketing team will generate, test, and implement new plan initiatives covering all sales, marketing and branding activities. This role is responsible for managing the executions of all the marketing and branding and PR activities across Indonesia.


 


Responsibilities


 


1. Strategy and Financial Performance
 Strategic planning for the region in conjunction with the Commercial Director, Asia Pacific
 Drive improvement in profitability with the new plan, 12 PPP and drive purchasing income for the region
 Negotiate with existing and potential new vendors and suppliers in order to secure more marketing support and income for products and services across the region
 Define marketing recommendations or strategies that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders for the site and region
 Help develop and implement marketing strategies and policies by undertaking market and customer research


2. Analysis and Report
 Monitor, review and implement pricing architecture across the region, with reference to client and brand restrictions
 Monitor and manage gross margin across the region, looking to mitigate cost price increases and re-engineering products
 Review all promotions and discounts, ensuring their financial viability


3. Budget
 Manage forecasting and budgeting process ensuring adherence to deadlines from management
 Ensure budgets are adhered to with all adverse variance closely monitored and within the budget


4. Business growth and project
 Champion the mobilization project and play a key role to coordinate with all department concerns


5. Commercial Marketing
 Execute and drive implementation and delivery of the new plan for Indonesia
 Lead and manage the team to plan, direct and coordinate all the activities that contribute to company profitability and customer satisfaction by executing activities in a timely manner
 Directs the process which includes the planning of activity, till set up, design and execution of in store collateral, inventory control and training to operations.
 The manager ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.


6. Branding
 Manage all the brand team in implementing marketing strategy to build brand awareness and drive sales
 Manage and review the branding concepts for own brands including key visuals, design, advertising and visual merchandising
 Manage branding and marketing strategy for key franchise brands across the region to ensure consistency to maximize revenue and profit
 Review the branding and marketing collaborations with all major suppliers across all territories, supporting the tender process and maximise the financial benefit to SSP, through supplier income and visibility support
 Set up and manage PR system to maximize exposure of brands.


 


Key Performance Indicators


 


 Local GP and EBITDA, as measured by country’s P&L
 Execute activities that drive additional GP, as measure by the new plan tracker
 Drive marketing income through visibility income, promotion support and selling space
 Establish and maintain tenders and contracts with top suppliers which benefit and protect SSP’s interests
 Franchise brand assessments to ensure compliance to brand standards


 


Relationships


 


     Ability to manage internal and external parties includes:
 Building strategic long term relationships with key vendors and suppliers across the region
 Developing strategic long term relationship with brand partners across the region
 Managing and supporting internal departments especially Operations, Production and Purchasing to drive commercial activities


 


Requirements


  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or relevant academic qualification in marketing or business management discipline

  • At least 5 years’ experience relevant experience in a similar capacity in MNC with leadership role while F&B and retail exposure in fast moving, dynamic environment within a commercially driven organization is preferable

  • Knowledge Strong commercial and financial acumen with an ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are preferred Skills

  • Commercially astute and extremely numerate

  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skill to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Good project management, problem-solving and analytical ability to meet multiple deadlines with a goal and result oriented

  • Attitude “Hands on” approach to all tasks to support and drive on operational performance

  • Good team player and demonstrated integrity and ethical standards

  • Good command of written and verbal English and Indonesian

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.

  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Applicants must be willing to work in Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

  • Preferably Managers specializing in Marketing/Business Development, Sales – Retail/General or equivalent.
