Alex Tiu, senior equity analyst at AB Capital Securities, on Tuesday said the deal between PLDT, Globe, and San Miguel Corp. is a positive for telecommunication companies because it unlocks much needed frequency assets and eliminates the immediate threat of a third competitor. But he warns there are still risks for the telecom sector.
